1. Who we are
Expert SEO Services is a trading name of JOVIS MEDIA LTD (company number 17269772), a UK marketing consultancy specialising in local and trade business SEO, operating at expertseoservices.co.uk. 2. What data we collect
We collect only the data you choose to give us, primarily through our eligibility and contact forms:
- Your name, email address and (optionally) phone number;
- Your business website address, target location, industry sector and (optionally) revenue tier;
- Any message you write to us.
This website does not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics suites, chat widgets or marketing pixels. We do not collect data about your browsing behaviour beyond standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp) kept for security purposes.
3. Why we process your data (lawful bases)
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare your website eligibility review — performance of pre-contractual steps under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b);
- To deliver the SEO Foundation Package if you engage us — performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b);
- To keep basic business records — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f), and legal obligation for accounting records, Article 6(1)(c).
We do not use your data for marketing lists, we do not send newsletters you didn't ask for, and we never sell or rent personal data to anyone.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiry data where no engagement follows: deleted within 12 months of last contact.
- Client engagement records: kept for 6 years after the engagement ends, as required for UK tax and accounting purposes.
- Server security logs: rotated automatically within 30 days.
5. Who we share it with
Your data is shared only with the infrastructure providers needed to run this website and our email (our UK/EEA-hosted web hosting and email providers), each acting as a processor under contract. If your engagement requires us to access accounts on your behalf (for example, Google Search Console), we do so using access you grant and can revoke at any time.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any right, email hello@expertseoservices.co.uk; we respond within one calendar month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Cookies
This website sets no marketing or analytics cookies. Any cookie used is strictly necessary for the operation of the site (for example, spam protection on form submission) and requires no consent banner under PECR.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version is published on this page with a revised date. Material changes affecting active clients are notified by email.
